Arc-flash tested IR Sightglasses enable thermographic inspection of
Motors, Transformers, Switchgear, MCCs and Switchboards in total safety
and without removing covers. IR sightglasses allow the thermographer to
accurately measure temperature for routine maintenance and fault
finding. Thermal inspections can reduce costly downtime caused by
equipment failure. This also allows the user to reduce the costs of an
IR survey, especially where there is a large amount of panel removal and
live working involved during the inspection. The uses of IR
sightglasses in any inspection programme remove the necessity of:

Complex risk assessments and method statements prior to an "open
panel" inspection.

Opening panels and exposing manpower to potentially hazardous live
components.

Permits to isolate and shutdown panels.

Spy Glass Lens |
|
The Spy Glass lens allows inspection of high
voltage electrical panels and switchgear without the risk of an electrical
arc flash. The panel to be checked simply requires the fitting of an
alignment ring to the panel, to allow inspections to be completed
without disruption. The lens attaches to any NEC Thermo Tracer
TH7102 camera. |
