Arc-flash tested IR Sightglasses enable thermographic inspection of Motors, Transformers, Switchgear, MCCs and Switchboards in total safety and without removing covers.  IR sightglasses allow the thermographer to accurately measure temperature for routine maintenance and fault finding.  Thermal inspections can reduce costly downtime caused by equipment failure.  This also allows the user to reduce the costs of an IR survey, especially where there is a large amount of panel removal and live working involved during the inspection.  The uses of IR sightglasses in any inspection programme remove the necessity of:
