Requirement:
A local hospital requested that Metrum carry out an
infrared inspection on all of its electrical panels, fuse boxes and
generator systems in order to comply with various health and safety
regulations.
Solution:
As a result of the survey using the NEC TH7102MV Thermal
Camera, a potential problem on one of the fuse boxes was identified.
Three cables were connected into one terminal causing intermittent
lighting problems in the work areas. As this method of
investigation is non-intrusive, no disruption was caused to either the
patients or the wards.
Outcome:
The report was issued to the Site Engineer with
recommendations to further investigate the problem at a convenient time
when the panel could be isolated.
