Requirement:
Metrum was asked to visit a printing press to
investigate a problem with the main supply fuse which was constantly
blowing, causing delays in newspaper production. The customer had
used ten very expensive fuses in one morning alone to maintain
output.
Solution:
The investigation was carried out using the TH7102MV
Thermal Camera. The thermal image showed a component failure on a
switch, immediately ruling out the possibility of bad connections or
overloading on the circuit.
Outcome:
Metrum presented a full report to the client in
electronic format, together with an image analysis software so that the
images could be viewed at a later date with the manufacturer of
the component.
