imc busLOG - CANbus Measurement System

Download Brochure

Together with the new generation imc busDAQ, a special Can logger made for fleet measurement, the imc busLOG is now available.

The imc busLOG is ideal for long term monitoring and can substantially simplify the collection of data for:

  • Car maintenance

  • Car performance measurements

  • Capture of intermittent errors

  • Monitoring for preventative maintenance

The unmanned monitoring of vehicles, machines or plant greatly reduces the pressure on resources. However to achieve this an independent measurement system is required that stores measured data or triggered information.

imc busLOG is such a system. Based on imc’s hardware and software platform, which is the basis for other successful imc products such as CRONOS PL, the busLOG offers a great deal of data-logger functionality together with an unbeatable price.

The complete measurement system including configuration software, online display and report generator function offers unbeatable possibilities, at a very low cost. With over 10 years of experience in CANbus measurement, imc feel certain: there is nothing like busLOG on the market.

Attractive prices

Compared with the other systems on the market the new busLOG offers a remarkable price-performance-ratio. At a very low cost a complete system including imc’s system software with online display, built-in storage capability and report generator is supplied. Vector database import and the imc CAN Assistant further enhance the standard features of the system.

200ms to start up time & less than 200 mW power consumption in sleep mode

A key feature of busLOG is its extremely quick start-up time. busLOG works independently at very low power consumption and is protected against power failure by an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). A signal-controlled Sleep Mode makes busLOG particularly well suited to vehicle fleet monitoring, especially as it only requires 200ms to start up.

During its “sleep mode” busLOG consumes less than 200 mW power, which allows the user to leave the system installed in the vehicle for extended periods without encountering power supply problems.

Wake-up on CAN

Once the system is set to “Sleep Mode”, the imc busLOG is able to start a new measurement within an extremely short time (<200 msec). Therefore it is especially suitable for recording CAN data of vehicles, as soon as they have been started. The device can wake up upon CAN messages or the control connector of the device.

CAN high speed ISO11898 / CAN low speed ISO11519-1 software selectable

Different CAN buses based on different hardware such as CAN high speed ISO11898 / CAN low speed ISO11519-1 can now be connected easily to busLOG. A multi-standard CAN controller supported by our software allows connection without hardware change.

Standard operating temperature range between -40°C and +85°C

One of the new innovations is that the busLOG will always work under extreme temperature conditions. Its standard operating temperature range is from –40°C to +85°C. A feature that wasn’t available for the previous version – even in the extended temperature range.

Standard TCP/IP Ethernet connection and increased channel count

Finally, the new busLOG has inherited all features of CRONOS PL as such as TCP/IP Ethernet connection, system synchronisation or display and modem connection. The maximum number of channels has been increased to 500 as well.

New wide range 10…50V power supply

A new wide range power supply allows use of the busLOG not only on 12V or 24V vehicle systems but also on new 48V systems.
