Metrum have introduced the new Sony SIR-3000 High Speed Digital
Data Recorder into their range of existing recording products. The new
recorder provides up to 128 channels of
analogue recording
in one package and extends the recording time capability to 4 hours.
Based around a 19” rack system the system comprises a base unit,
the SIR-3000H which houses 2 x 250Gbyte hard discs for 4 hours continuous
recording. Each hard disc is removable and can be “Hot Swapped” to allow
data to be transferred to a PC for analysis.
In addition to the base unit two types of expansion module can
be added. The “I” module gives 32 channels of voltage or IEPE
up to 20KHz bandwidth recording capability and the “W” module
provides 16 channels of voltage up to 80KHz recording. Up to 4 modules
can be fitted to the base unit. All data is recorded simultaneously
and 128 channels at 20KHz bandwidth can be recorded for up to 4 hours.
A PC transfer kit
is also available to allow real time data to be transferred via an Ethernet
connection.
