Metrum's digital recording capability
programme, WRAITH, provides a range of high-speed digital storage
solutions whilst maintaining cost effectiveness in demanding environments.
WRAITH will meet current and future military needs in terms of
ruggedisation, affordability and up-gradeability with minimum
architectural modification by leveraging COTS based core storage products
with long term upgrade paths.
Metrum will continue to exploit new
developments in COTS technology by introducing different generations of
WRAITH. Each generation will be fully supported by Metrum and will
provide various small, low power solutions using Tape, Disc or Solid State
technologies.
Within
each generation, numerous configurations are available to meet legacy
solutions such as DCRsi or ID-1 replacement or integration into networked
systems or specialised military interfaces. Current products include
low and high-speed solutions for Sonar and ISTAR programmes and
multi-channel trials equipment. In terms of both acquisition and
through life costing, WRAITH will provide the performance normally
associated with far more expensive equipment.
To ensure data integrity and overcome
COTS failure / yield rates in Magnetic Media Metrum offers a full
certification capability for all its tape based products including AIT and
S-AIT.
